The mission of the Heritage Museum and Cultural Center is to engage the public in a vibrant organization that promotes historical preservation, education, and research that relates to Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, and the surrounding region.

The Fort Miami Heritage Society maintains an extensive archive containing thousands of documents and photos relating to the history of the Twin Cities. Particular strengths of the collection include local industry, such as the Truscott Boat Manufacturing Company, and events, such as the Venetian Festival. For research requests, whether personal or academic, please contact us at archivist@fortmiamiheritage.org.
